Based in Southern California, Christian Orozco is anything but traditional. Inspired by 90s hip hop, and growing up to cumbias blasting the family radio, music became a big part of Orozco’s life. From high school to college, Christian was in marching band and Latin jazz band, aside from starting a few bands with local musicians. Christian is known to play any style well, applying various rhythms from Jazz, Hip Hop, and Afro Cuban to his drumming with authenticity.

An adventurous and versatile drummer captured the attention of diverse artists such as Indie pop group From Indian Lakes to Psych-Soul singer Kadhja Bonet. He has played for the Khruangbin Curated Boiler Room in 2021, and performed at KCRW Summer Nights in 2019, in addition to performing around the U.S. and Mexico.

Orozco is mainly self taught but has taken private lessons with Mark Guiliana, Kendrick Scott, Marcus Gilmore, and Jamire Williams, while being mentored by Evan Stone (The Translucent Ham Sandwich band ) and Gil Sharone (Dillinger Escape Plan). Orozco currently plays with R&B/Fusion group Edyn and frequently collaborates with Long Beach locals Chapis and Synth pop singer songwriter Angela Jane Bachmann.
